Do you accept Commissions?Yes, I do! Commissions require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Price will depend on subject(s), size, time and materials. For more information, click here.
-
How long does a commission take?Depends on several factors, but assuming all conditions are met it takes me about 1-2 weeks for watercolor, pastels and acrylics. Oil paintings will take longer and will be sent without varnishing (painting needs to completely cure for minimum of 6 months before varnishing).
-
What subjects/subject matter do you paint?I primarily paint people, places, flora and fauna of Hawaii. I'm happy to do pet portraits (people portraits, too) but my main focus is on the Aloha spirit found here in the islands.
-
What mediums do you use to paint?I use watercolor, pastels, oil, acrylic and sometimes colored pencil or paint on silk using special dyes. All mediums used are lightfast and professional, archival grade.
-
What sizes do you paint in?I tend to paint larger so 6x9 tends to be the smallest in an original. The largest I've done is a triptych measuring 48x60" each. Prints can be ordered in 5x7", 8x10" or 11x14". If a different size is desired, please contact me here.
-
Why should I buy originals or prints at these prices? Walmart has them for much cheaper.True in this day and age one can purchase mass produced prints at a huge discount from big box stores or online giants such as Amazon. I'm a one woman artist using local printers and materials, so your purchase supports not just me, but everyone who had a hand in producing my art. Whether you decide to buy from one of the giants or me, please do not steal anyone's artwork. The creator deserves to be paid for bringing that piece into the world. Be a good human!
